Today Sitecore was named a Leader in Gartner’s 2017 Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management (WCM) for the eighth consecutive time. When we’re being compared with 18 contenders in a highly competitive landscape, it is extremely gratifying to see Sitecore positioned as the vendor with the strongest Ability to Execute in our space. We’re even more proud that it’s our third time holding that top spot on the Ability to Execute axis.

Sitecore has always been committed to leadership in web content management. We are extremely proud to once again be recognized by Gartner for both our product as well as how we service and support our customers and partners.

The WCM space is rapidly evolving, and this Magic Quadrant strongly reflects those trends—and our focused investments over the last 12 months, which have included:

  • The addition of Sitecore® Experience Accelerator to our product portfolio to offer rapid time-to-value for the full Sitecore® Experience Platform™, with a particular focus on enabling agencies and their web developers to get to market faster.
  • Our re-architecture to Azure Platform-as-a-Service beginning with Sitecore 8.2 Update 1 to fully deploy the platform in a serverless environment running on top of Azure App Service, allowing our customers radically simplified infrastructure coupled with seamless scale-up and scale-out.
  • Offering Sitecore as a cloud managed service via Sitecore Managed Cloud but still providing world-class technological underpinnings directly to our customers and partners. This allows for full freedom of choice when deploying Sitecore in the cloud without lock-in to a particular business model.
  • Added support for “headless” scenarios to address the desires of JavaScript developers or those consuming content on new, emerging form factors such as IoT devices.

And, we will never rest in our quest to continuously improve. Please stay tuned to the 2017 Sitecore Symposium conference to see our next round of innovations as part of our ongoing commitment to leadership in the WCM space.

In closing, we would like to offer the sincerest of thanks once again to our customers, partners, and worldwide community for helping us achieve this honor once again. Access the report here: 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management
