How The Stroke Foundation Created an Accessible Online Recovery Resource to Support Survivors.

The Stroke Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation with an important mission: to save lives, end suffering and provide support for stroke survivors.

Since 1983, the Stroke Foundation has worked closely with stroke survivors, health professionals and the public to raise awareness, improve treatments and recovery, and facilitate research.

Ian Stewart, National Manager of Digital, joined the Stroke Foundation in 2013 and immediately identified the need to improve the organisation’s digital presence and the way in which survivors and their families could access vital recovery information and advice online. “Initially, I outlined about 30 main projects that we needed to target,” explains Stewart. “One of those was to select a flexible and robust content management system that would provide us with the ability to deliver these projects effectively.”
