This year, we are celebrating all Sitecore Experience Awards winners during our all-digital Sitecore Symposium on October 5-7, 2021. To help you get closer to joining our community of elite digital experience leaders, we have compiled five tips on how to create an Experience Awards submission that will put your best foot forward. Don’t forget, be sure to get your submissions in before the Sitecore Experience Awards portal closes at 4pm PDT on June 18.
A snapshot of the Sitecore Experience Awards
The Experience Awards recognize companies that are using Sitecore solutions to accelerate their digital experience transformations in innovative and notable ways. Last year’s winners included Coates Hire, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria, Soho House, and Triumph Motorcycles. This year, awardees will be selected from each region and featured live during Sitecore Symposium, providing a unique opportunity to bring global visibility to your organization. Experience Awards are open to all Sitecore customers, and nominations can be made by customers, partners, service providers, and Sitecore sales and marketing teams.
Sitecore Experience Awards nomination tips
Tip 1: Tell your story
People are drawn to stories, so why not tell yours! The facts of your digital experience are important, but go a step further and tell us the narrative to showcase the amazing work you are doing and the impact you are making as a transformative leader. Your award submission will more likely create that human connection with the selection judges and be remembered.
Tip 2: Look from outside of the box
What makes your submission special? Be sure to clearly define how your submission is unique, so your story stands out. Not only will our judges be reviewing a lot of submissions, but there could also be several submissions from brands within your industry. It’s important to look at your submission from the judges’ point of view, and provide details that will set you apart.
Tip 3: Focus on the impact
Just like with storytelling, the takeaway is key. And your award submission is no different. Be sure to share how you are making an impact and what that impact means for your business, audience, or digital experience journey. Quantify your results, and show us the proof to support your claims.
Tip 4: Don’t rush
The Experience Awards submission is your chance to shine. Give yourself enough time to plan and lay out all of the details, so you can paint the full picture of your award-winning digital experience.
Tip 5: Take the lead
Finally, if you have a great digital experience story to tell, don’t wait for someone to nominate you; nominate yourself! Who better to tell your brand story than you? The effort will be worth it when you’re accepting that trophy!
