We've partnered with Credly to provide you with digital badges for your credentials, which can be used in email signatures, digital resumes, and on social media platforms like LinkedIn. Each badge includes verified metadata that clearly outlines your qualifications and achievements.

Digital Representation: Certification achievers receive a digital representation of their accomplishment in the form of a badge, which they can easily display and share online.

Portability and Shareability: These digital badges are portable across various platforms, including social media, professional networking sites, resumes, and email signatures.

Verification: Recipients can share their badges with prospective employers or other parties who can verify the badge's authenticity and the skills it represents by clicking on the badge verification link.

  • What is digital badging?

    Digital badges are web-based types of credentials that verify achievements and contain embedded metadata detailing the specific skills or accomplishments earned.

    These visual symbols can be easily shared online, offering a simple and accessible way to showcase one's capabilities.

  • Why are you implementing digital badging?

    We aim to broaden our credentials to encompass additional products and roles, enhancing our certification program with a digital badging initiative.

    Digital badges offer a streamlined and credible way to showcase your Sitecore skills online, providing employers and peers with verifiable evidence of your achievements and competencies.

  • When can I start earning badges?

    To ensure a high-quality earner experience, we are implementing badging in phases.

    We will begin issuing badges for certification exams first, starting with XM Cloud in early December 2023.

    Badges for other certifications, roles, and skill levels will roll out over the course of 2024.

  • Who will be issuing digital badges?

  • Will I still get a PDF when I pass certification exams on Kryterion Webassessor?

    When we assign a digital badge to a certification exam, that badge will replace the PDF certificate issued for successful completion.

    For now, only XM Cloud will have digital badges assigned.

    Starting in Spring 2024, we’ll begin issuing digital badges for other certification exams.

  • I’d like to verify someone else has a badge. Where can I do that?

    We will be adding a Talent Directory to our Sitecore Credly page in the coming months. You'll be able to search by badge, skill, region, or individual earner. In the meantime, if you would like to verify if someone has earned certification, you will need to check their LinkedIn profile page or ask for them to share the badge with you. Refer to the Credly support page for assistance with sharing badges.

Common questions and answers

  • Which products do I need certification for Support Portal access?

    Customers with Content Hub, Sitecore Experience Manager, Sitecore Experience Platform, and Sitecore Commerce will need a certified developer or administrator to create support cases.

  • How can I purchase an exam?

    Exams available as standalone items can be purchased directly though Kryterion Webassessor. You can access your Sitecore Webassessor account by launching the Kryterion Webassessor App through Sitecore Okta. If you are a Sitecorian, the app will be available in the MyApps page.

    Exams purchased as part of a bundle can be purchased in the Sitecore Learning shop. If you receive a voucher or coupon to take an exam, it will be valid for 12 months. Exam appointments on Kryterion Webassessor can be scheduled up to three months in advance.

  • How do I register for an exam?

    All Sitecore certification exams are proctored through Kryterion Webassessor.

    You will need a Sitecore Learning account. If you do not have one already, please register for a Sitecore Learning account with your Business Email through one of the links below:

    If you purchase your exam as a standalone item, you will be able to register for an exam appointment as part of completing your transaction.

    If you purchase an exam as part of a bundle, you will receive an exam voucher to register for your exam appointment on Kryterion Webassessor. (Please allow 2 weeks to receive your voucher code)

  • What are the requirements for taking an exam?

    You can find the requirements for taking a proctored exam on Kryterion’s website. You will need to use the same email address for both your Kryterion and Sitecore Learning platform accounts.

  • Do certifications expire? How often do I need to certify?

    Currently, Sitecore certifications do not expire. However, to ensure that certified individuals maintain the skills needed to succeed with Sitecore, we will be rolling out guidelines about certification expiration soon.

  • Where can I learn more about how to prepare for exams?

    Our most recent recommendations about recommended training can be found on the Sitecore Learning platform. You can also enroll in a free study guide to get additional information on competencies and a set of practice questions.

    Exam preparation workshops, led by Sitecore Trainers, are also now available.

  • What type of training do you offer for a Sitecore Certification exam?

    We offer Certification Bundles which provides you with role-based training and exam prep content you need to prepare for your certification exam, accompanied by a certification voucher.
