Additional Training Services Terms
Sitecore offers various training services to help customers learn how to get the most out of our products. Training Services can be obtained either online via eLearning Courses or via Instructor-Led Courses. If Training Services are purchased (via an Order), these additional terms will apply.
eLearning Courses:
eLearning Training is sold on a per user, subscription basis. Each subscription is valid for 12 months from the Order Effective Date. Promptly after the Order Effective Date Sitecore will provide Customer with access codes permitting use of Sitecore’s Learning Management System (“LMS”) to access all eLearning courses and exams purchased by Customer under the applicable Order. Customer’s use of the eLearning Training will be governed by the terms and conditions of Sitecore’s LMS, which are available to Customer upon registration.
Instructor-Led Courses:
1. PREREQUISITES; PREPARATION; COURSE CAPACITY
1.1 Customer understands that its attendees must have the appropriate technical qualifications before attending any relevant course(s) that form part of the Training Services. Updated information about these qualifications is specified in the course descriptions on Sitecore’s website: https://www.sitecore.com/knowledge-center/getting-started/training.
1.2 Before the commencement of the Training Services under an Order, each Customer participant must:
(i) create a Sitecore account with their business email address; and
(ii) complete any pre-training preparation detailed in the course description and set out in the pre-training requirements e-mail that will be sent out to each participant upon signing up for the course (which may include pre-training computer setup and study preparation).
1.3 The participant limit for each course is ten (10) persons.
2. VENUE
2.1 For courses conducted at a Sitecore training venue, Sitecore will provide a training room equipped with internet access, white board/flip chart, and a projector. Training Materials will be provided by Sitecore. Each participant must bring their own laptop.
2.2 For courses conducted at a Customer nominated venue (onsite training), Customer has the responsibility to provide adequate training facilities including a training room equipped with internet access, white board/flip chart, and a projector. Each participant must bring their own laptop. Training Materials will be provided by Sitecore. Customer will provide each training attendee with a training computer with internet access. Wired internet is preferred. In order to schedule onsite Training Services at the Customer venue, Customer must contact Sitecore’s training department in writing (email) at least thirty (30) business days prior to the desired start date for the Training Services. Training Services dates are reserved based on Sitecore instructor availability. Training Services date availability is not guaranteed until approved by the Sitecore training department in writing.
3. RECORDINGS OF ORAL OR VISUAL PRESENTATIONS
Customer is prohibited from audio recording, video recording, editing, reproducing, broadcasting, or otherwise make available the presentation slides and any Training Materials to third parties, and distributing the Sitecore representative’s name, voice, presentation material or likeness of the Sitecore speaker (name, image, voice, photo or video), blogging, or any portion thereof as they may appear without media, time, use or geographic limitation, except where recording of the presentation is required to grant equitable access of Training Materials to attendees with disabilities, or where recording is pre- approved in writing by Sitecore.
4. CANCELLATION, TRANSFERS AND SUBSTITUTION
4.1 Cancellation of seat(s) in a public course is required in writing no later than ten (10) business days prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellation of a course arranged specifically for a Customer is required in writing no later than fifteen (15) business days before the commencement of the course. If Customer cancels seats before these timeframes, Customer will receive a credit to be used for seat(s) in future training courses. If Customer cancels seats later than these timeframes, Customer will not receive a credit or refund. Sitecore reserves the right to cancel courses. When courses are cancelled, Sitecore will provide Customer with a credit to be used for Sitecore training courses offered on other dates.
4.2 Transfer to an alternative course date will only be accepted if made in writing up to ten (10) business days before the course start date. Participants may transfer to the same course running within 3 months of the original course commencement date (if available). Transfer requests received less than ten (10) business days before commencement of a course will not be granted. Sitecore will only accept one transfer per training place. Transferred training places are non-refundable.
4.3 Substitution of one booked participant for another will only be accepted if made in writing. Suitably qualified substitute participants will be accepted up to three (3) business days before a course start date, free of charge. If the Training Materials (joining instructions, etc.) have already been sent to the Customer, it is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that the replacement participant receives the Training Materials.
4.4 If a participant does not attend a course, and Customer did not inform Sitecore within the cancellation period, the full course fee remains payable.
5. TRAVEL EXPENSES
5.1 The training fees do not include any travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses for onsite visits. Any such visits and associated travel budgets will need to be agreed upon between the Customer and Sitecore for each trip. Sitecore will book economy flight tickets and cheapest option for appropriate 4-star business class hotel. Sitecore will invoice the Customer monthly in arrears for travel expenses incurred during the preceding month for agreed and approved onsite visits.
