Michael SeifertBoard Member
Michael started coding at age 11 and started his first IT company at age 15. Before (and during) college, he was one of the principal developers of DikuMUD, an online multiplayer computer game serving millions of users, which was a predecessor to massive role-playing video games like “World of Warcraft.” Later, while working as president of a successful multimillion-dollar custom software development company, Michael envisioned the need for a Microsoft-centric system for creating and managing websites. In 2001, he joined forces with four fellow internet zealots, founded Sitecore, and introduced a product with functionality and appeal that was completely disruptive in the market. He served as Sitecore CEO for 15 years and now sits on the company’s board of directors.
