Sitecore Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Asset Management Platforms
SALEM, NEW HAMPSHIRE – October 28, 2026 – Sitecore today announced it has been named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Asset Management (DAM) Platforms.
For Sitecore, the recognition comes at an inflection point as AI transforms marketing, from how consumers find, understand, and choose brands, to how the content driving those choices is created and deployed across web, social media, AI search, and other digital platforms. Content is being created at an unprecedented scale, customer discovery is shifting toward AI-powered search and answer engines, and agentic systems are becoming active participants in how experiences are assembled and delivered. That makes the connections between content, context, and activation more important than ever.
Digital asset management sits at the center of that shift, helping ensure a clear, consistent brand identity across a range of channels, and languages, currencies, and other localizations. Every asset a brand owns must work harder, and that means the DAM can no longer simply answer, Where is the right asset? It increasingly must help answer: Is it approved? What does it mean? Where can it be used? Can it be trusted? And is it producing results? As content must now serve both people and machines, an outdated product image, unclear usage rights, or a disconnected asset can be the difference between a brand being chosen or dismissed.
SitecoreAI DAM is built to turn that risk into an advantage. It connects asset governance, context, distribution, and performance so enterprises can put trusted, approved content to work across marketing teams, AI workflows, and digital experiences. That lets organizations reuse their most valuable content, keep their brand consistent wherever it appears, and invest with confidence in the content that drives real growth.
“AI has made content abundant, and that has had the unintended consequence of making trust and relevance scarcer,” said Eric Stine, Chief Executive Officer of Sitecore. “The brands that win in the AI-first era won’t be those that try to compensate by generating more content and moving faster. They’ll be the brands that can put the right content to work in the right context, everywhere it matters, at precisely the moment it influences a decision. That’s why DAM has become so strategic.”
From managing assets to making content AI-ready
SitecoreAI DAM enables enterprises to address four requirements that are increasingly important in AI-driven content operations:
- Establish trusted content for people and AI. Connect assets with the metadata, provenance, permissions, and brand context needed to determine what content is, where it came from, and how it can be used across systems and channels.
- Make approved assets accessible wherever work happens. Activate governed content across websites, applications, campaigns, and other digital experiences, while extending access to approved assets into external applications through SitecoreAI DAM’s embedding SDK.
- Connect content governance with AI-powered execution. Connect DAM with content management, agentic workflows, and digital experience delivery so marketers and AI systems can work from a shared, controlled source of content rather than disconnected stores of brand knowledge.
- Turn content performance into operational intelligence. Connect assets with downstream engagement and impact signals so teams can focus investment on assets that contribute to measurable outcomes, including which content is working and what should be reused or adapted.
Connecting the content supply chain
Sitecore’s position as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Asset Management Platforms follows its recognition as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Marketing Platforms (CMP), where Sitecore was also positioned farthest along the Completeness of Vision axis. Within the past 12 months, Sitecore has been recognized as a Leader by Gartner, Forrester, and IDC in market evaluations covering CMS, DAM, CMP, and DXP.
Sitecore views these recognitions as significant because AI is accelerating the collapse of the traditional boundaries between managing an asset and turning it into business value. DAM establishes the trusted assets, metadata, permissions, and provenance on which content experiences depend. CMP’s content operations capabilities coordinate how content is planned, created, managed, and measured. SitecoreAI connects these layers within a unified platform with CMS, brand-aware AI, audience intelligence, conversion optimization, and AI-search visibility. The result is a closed loop content lifecycle in which insight informs content creation, intelligence and governance moves it into market, and performance data guides what happens next.
“Enterprise marketers don’t need more disconnected AI features,” Stine continued. “They need an operating model that lets AI move faster without allowing governance, brand integrity, or accountability to break down. That is the opportunity we see for SitecoreAI: connecting trusted content, intelligent orchestration, and measurable digital experiences so organizations can put AI to work, maintain control, and deliver the business results they expect,” Stine concluded.
