To keep at the forefront and offer the best value while generating products and services to our customers, we are introducing Gen AI Functionality in our product offering – we are offering Gen AI integrations, powered by third-party AI models, to enhance features such as content creation, data analysis, and automated decision-making, providing you with more intelligent and efficient tools to achieve your goals.

Sitecore leverages Gen AI to ensure our products remain cutting-edge, enhancing your experience with features e.g., powered by OpenAI/Azure. These advancements are designed to offer unparalleled value, streamlining your workflows and enabling more engaging, creative outcomes.

Yes! Using Gen AI within Sitecore’s cloud products is entirely up to you. Our Gen AI features have been designed to be distinct and discernable within our cloud products, giving you the freedom to choose whether to use them or not.

Here is how you can leverage it:

• Opt-In to Gen AI: Gen AI Functionality is an optional enhancement within Sitecore's cloud products, giving you the choice to activate it for your projects.
• Intuitive Interaction: Gen AI Functionality is designed to respond to your prompts and queries, aiding in tasks such as crafting marketing content and streamlining content creation processes. You can always choose not to include a Gen AI response, your human oversight is always recommended.
• Seamless Integration: We aim to ensure that Gen AI Functionality features are distinct within our cloud products, allowing you to clearly identify and use these capabilities to your advantage.

As Gen AI Functionality comprises a distinct set of features within our cloud products, we have introduced a Gen AI Addendum  as part of the Master Terms under Addendum A, as well as a Gen AI Policy  under the Sitecore Usage Policy. Together these contain relevant terms and conditions specific to the use of Gen AI Functionality.

As between Sitecore and Customer, you own the prompts and results put into any Gen AI Functionality.

The prompts and results put into any Gen AI Functionality are considered Customer Data under the Master Terms and DPA. Accordingly, the security measures and other Sitecore obligations in the DPA will apply equally to these inputs/outputs.

Yes, the Gen AI Functionality includes features powered by third party AI models, where such third party acts as a Subprocessor of Customer Data under the DPA.

Gen AI Functionality may be made available initially as beta or early access features, known as “Beta Gen AI Features,” and will be identified as such in the product. This offers Customers the opportunity to explore innovative features at no cost. If we decide to make these features generally available, we may introduce fees for their continued use, but only after providing reasonable notice and on mutual agreement in writing.

As with all Gen AI features, Beta Gen AI Features are provided 'as is' with no warranty or liability. While we hope you enjoy exploring these innovative features, please note that they may be suspended or removed at our discretion. We strive to continually improve and may make changes based on your feedback, but we cannot guarantee any final product releases.

No, neither Sitecore nor its third party AI model providers will use these inputs/outputs for their own purposes, meaning we don’t use prompts or results to train models (and for sake of clarity, no other customer data is used to train the models). For additional comfort to you, Sitecore is committed to ensuring that our third-party providers adhere to this same policy.

Sitecore and such third party providers may only use your Customer Data to provide its services to you and will process the Customer Data temporarily for such purpose.

To uphold this commitment, we conduct thorough AI Impact Assessments which involve comprehensive risk and impact analyses for all products integrating AI. These assessments meticulously evaluate potential risks and impacts of AI integration, enabling us to devise and implement effective mitigation strategies for any identified concerns.
