Upon receiving a request containing an item identifier—for example, a SKU—the tool will collect all the data related to the item stored across your ecommerce platform, structure it, and pass it to Sitecore Discover for further processing. This collection and structuring will be performed on a set frequency to ensure Sitecore Discover uses up-to-date product information.

Processed data can be used in many different ways outside your Sitecore-based platform. For example, it can be passed to the lake database in Azure Synapse Analytics to generate reports and revenue forecasts.
