We’ve always believed that great content sits at the heart of every great digital experience. That’s why we’ve spent the last 25 years dedicated to helping brands all around the world create and deliver standout content.
Today, Sitecore offers three content management products, each suited to a different set of needs and infrastructure requirements. Whether you're running a private cloud deployment, adding personalization and marketing automation, or building on a fully SaaS platform, below we outline the key differences to help you find the right fit.
SitecoreAITM
For brands ready to run an AI-powered marketing organization
SitecoreAI is Sitecore's next-generation platform for marketing teams ready to work smarter with AI. Content management, digital asset management, customer data, personalization, and search come pre-integrated in one system, so you spend less time on set up and more time on campaigns. AI is built into the platform price, with no per-token or per-seat charges on top.
Marketing teams can create pages with a visual editor, find and reuse assets, personalize experiences, and publish to any channel, all from one platform. Built-in AI takes on repetitive tasks like content generation and asset tagging, so your team stays focused on strategy.
Developers get a headless, API-first architecture that works with the tools and systems you already have. Because SitecoreAI is SaaS, updates roll out automatically and your team is always on the latest version. And for teams that need to customize their workflow, SitecoreAI offers a growing catalog of extensions and the ability to build your own.
XM | Platform
For brands that want a traditional all-in-one CMS on private cloud
Experience Manager (XM) is our private cloud CMS-only offering. It allows you to manage multiple websites, and multilingual content in the same CMS, as well as integrate with third-party applications, systems, and data. It also allows you to deliver content across multiple devices and channels.
XM also features Experience Editor, which allows content authors to edit layouts and components as they would appear on a page to a visitor. XM is part of Sitecore’s PaaS portfolio on Azure Managed Cloud, and it can also be managed on-premise with a cloud provider.
XP | Platform
For brands that want XM with analytics, personalization, and marketing automation
Experience Platform (XP) includes the CMS that you get with XM, and layers on industry-leading analytics, intelligent personalization, and marketing automation features. It allows marketers to deliver personalized content on any device or channel while giving them a 360-degree view of each customer’s journey.
The marketing automation features remove the need for a separate email marketing automation platform and allow marketers to nurture prospects using data from multiple sources and touchpoints.
