Point B’s business operations had been stifled by an outdated and custom-built website that was complex to manage, update and maintain. It hindered the marketing team’s ability to update content and improve functionality. Neither did it support the business’ strategy to meet customer needs now and in the future.
Established in 1995 as an alternative to large, traditional consultancy firms, Point B needed a more dynamic, agile and customer-centric digital presence. The aim was to communicate and differentiate the Point B brand, build trust with buyers and prospective candidates and increase lead generation.
Headless, composable SaaS DXP
Coinciding with a rebrand, Point B worked with Sitecore partner Oshyn, to develop a headless, composable SaaS digital experience platform (DXP) built on Sitecore XM Cloud. Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA) was used to speed up deployment – which took under four months - and migrate the website to the Sitecore DXP.
The revamped website has multiple page templates and over 40 Sitecore components and variations, including a multi-content carousel and several interactive sections. Creating modular content is simpler with 30 modules that are easy to use and repurpose across different website sections and pages.
Point B's DXP also includes Sitecore Search for scalable, multi-purpose search, Sitecore CDP for customer profile tracking and analytics, and Sitecore Personalize to enable targeted experiences. Integrations included Vercel Next.js and Tailwind CSS for scalability and omnichannel content, and OneTrust and Salesforce Pardot Forms to support lead generation.
Sitecore XM Cloud has reduced dependency on technical support and improved efficiency through defined roles and workflows. Sitecore Buckets enable easier content search while Sitecore Media Library enhances asset search.
212% more customer engagement
Sitecore and Oshyn have achieved some impressive results for Point B. Now in a stronger position to challenge the established consultancy industry, Point B’s marketing and customer communication is more flexible, and the company can better reflect business changes rapidly and respond to customer demand swiftly.
The Sitecore DXP also improves lead and demand generation and is better at capturing customer data. Now the company can deliver new content to the website 99% faster and more efficiently and develop new site features and functions in two weeks. Site visitors are served with relevant content, and they can find content they want 100% quicker which is underpinned by pages loading 42% faster on desktops and 15% faster on mobile devices.
As a result, visitors are spending 212% more time on the site, and creating more opportunities to reinforce the Point B brand and increase revenue. The Sitecore DXP also sets the foundation for a customer data platform, implicit and explicit personalization, and content localization in the future.
