Core customer channels deserved a better platform
Kamstrup serves utilities in more than 70 countries, across many markets, languages, and product areas. That complexity puts real weight on its digital channels: customers come to kamstrup.com and My Kamstrup to find the right product information and get things done, and they expect those experiences to be clear and relevant wherever they are.
The aging, on-premises platform behind those channels was making that harder than it needed to be. Updating content called for specialist skills, so regional teams often looked to headquarters for routine changes, and improvements customers would feel took longer to ship than anyone wanted. With support for the old platform winding down, Kamstrup had both the reason and the opportunity to modernize.
One modern foundation for every customer channel
Kamstrup chose to migrate rather than upgrade, and to treat the move as a business program rather than a CMS project. Its public website and the My Kamstrup portal came together on SitecoreAI, with search modernized alongside them and product information heading toward SitecoreAI DAM next.
Kamstrup and partner Valtech ran the migration as one team, moving thousands of pages with care so the new sites launched at the quality the brand expected. Just as important, Kamstrup built its own in-house team to own the platform, so improvements to the customer experience could keep coming long after go-live.
Better experiences for customers, more control for teams
Across Kamstrup's digital channels, customer satisfaction rose from 5.9 to 7.2 over the past two years, as the business modernized the channels its customers rely on most.
Marketers now build and update pages directly, without the specialist skills the old platform demanded, so improvements reach customers sooner. Regional sales offices are being brought into the platform to localize their own sites, which means people closest to each market can serve it in its own language. As Anna Dahlmann Møller, Sitecore Senior Specialist and Product Owner at Kamstrup, puts it: “Now with SitecoreAI, we can invite our regional teams into the system so they can localize their own websites, instead of headquarters being the bottleneck every time.”
More than 7,500 pages and 13 websites are live on one modern platform, and on-site search powered by conversion optimization helps customers find what they need. Kamstrup sees this as a foundation rather than a finish line, and is extending toward SitecoreAI DAM to manage products and assets across markets.
